Dr Kate Pangbourne lives in Aberdeenshire and is currently a University Academic Fellow at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds. Over the course of three decades she has acquired a degree in Philosophy with English Literature, a Masters in Sustainable Rural Development, and a PhD investigating Scotland’s transport governance. Her research is oriented towards shifting our transport system, governance and individual opportunities and choices towards greater environmental sustainability, social inclusion and meaningful prosperity. Her current work explores the persuasiveness of travel behaviour messages (ADAPT), enhancing the rail passenger experience (SMaRTE) and the implications of CAV and MaaS. She is on the Advisory Board of the H2020 MoTiV project and recently served on the Scottish National Transport Strategy Framework Working Group.
