The 18th Annual Transport Practitioners’ Meeting (TPM) taking place online 2 -3 September 2020 is quickly approaching and, if you haven’t done so already, now is the perfect time to register to ensure you don’t miss out on the annual event for all those working in the transport sector.
This year’s conference features two plenary sessions, inspiring workshops, over 100 paper presentations, numerous poster projects and some very fun PechaKucha presentations to close the event. And with bookings flooding in we are excited to be welcoming so many industry leaders virtually this year!
Announcing the #2020TPM Plenary
This year, the two-day plenary session will focus on decarbonizing transport and the role transport planners can play. We’ll also touch on COVID-19 may have shaped this conversation and what the next steps will be for the Route to Net Zero.
Chaired by Shamit Weinberger-Gaiger – Director of Strategic Advisory at AECOM, you can expect some focused and nuanced questions:
• Where do you see the opportunity for digital solutions/technology solutions to decarbonise transport?
• What are the impacts, challenges and opportunities for the transport and highways industry directly and the wider environment, housing and landuse, services, skills sector?
• What questions need to be explored/answered in order to enable the transition over the next 10 year for roll out from the 2030s onwards and to mitigate the risks to the freight sectors and by association UK trade?
