This year, the annual meeting place for Transport Planners will return to stunning, historic, and transport-savvy Oxford. With a number of major infrastructure projects underway, a plan to introduce the world’s first Zero Emission Zone (ZEZ), community of cycling and walking, as well as being home to Transport Studies Unit, Oxford is a natural fit for our event.
If you have never been to the conference before, welcome! If you have been before, then you know how much fun we have and how hard we try and make this conference about the profession and those who make the profession what it is. From the pre-conference social to the closing presentations, every second of TPM is devoted to the profession. We even let the abstracts dictate what we talk about in the opening portions of the conference!
I would encourage you to attend as much as the two (and a bit) days as you can, there are so many opportunities to network, debate and share ideas; the number of projects that I’ve heard can be credited to an informal TPM event is astounding! And if you have the opportunity, try and spend a bit of time exploring Oxford itself – what a fascinating city.
On this website is all the information you could ever need to join us for this event. Please read through before the start of the conference so that you can start out on your best foot and get the most out of this event. Should any of your questions be unanswered, do not hesitate to reach out to me at any point, my direct contact information as below.
